Twin Torment
Polymer Clay
Sculpture
Through the Covid-19 pandemic in quarantine I began to delve deep into complexities of my mental state, and through that I began to take a new turn with artwork. I began sculpting and allowed my mind to wander and let the emotions I felt manifest themselves in creatures. Feelings of shame, loss, and insecurity all played into my work, but through the art I tackled those problems. Through the macabre and the ability to create unsettling pieces I am able to physicalize anguish, thereby releasing its effects on me. While my other work still showcases me, I believe my sculptures truly allow me to have freedom with the art I want to portray.
